Day job
It's been a fair few weeks since my last news update.
Let me tell you, nothing much has happened. Apart from getting sacked from one of my venues because the new manager didn't like me. Highly unprofessional I thought, but it gave me the opportunity to try some new things.
Firstly, I got a job in a massive bar in Rugby. It's a great place, Rugby. The people are really polite. Politeness goes a long way.
Secondly - this is the big thing - I got a day job. A day job washing light aircraft no less. The thing was, it was hard work. £5 an hour getting wet and making my body ache. After six long hours, all I had to show for it was £30. I earn more than that in a hour being a DJ.
I stuck the job out for a week and had to quit. Day work for a pittance is not for me.
It makes me wonder how the rest of the planet gets on, doing jobs that pay badly for something they don't actually want to do.
It drove me up the wall getting up early (11am), working all day (until 6pm) and getting paid next to nothing.
I'm in the fortunate position of getting paid loads to go out every weekend, and I don't have to do anything else.
My gardener did great work on my land last week. He dug out all the grass on the front and side of the house and put gravel and pebbles down. It looks great.
I then went to the garden center to get a nice big pot of plants to stick out front. 45 minutes I was gone. When I returned, an evil feline had shit on my pebbles.
This prompted me to cover my entire land in pepper dust, and I also purchased a device called a sonic blaster. There's nothing more satisfying than hearing a cat come within range of it and hearing it scream as a high pitched squeal rips the air and hurts the cats ears. Fantastic.
The cat shit also prompted me to make this website. It may well turn into one of my usual projects that never gets finished. One day I'll sit at my PC and actually do stuff that I should be doing, rather than sitting in chat rooms and annoying people for a laugh.
Although I really shouldn't be making cat hatred web sites, so I may well come up with something else should my mind change. Which it frequently does.
Ideas on what to put on that site to the usual email address.
Anyway, it's time to watch MacGyver.
7pm daily on Bravo channel. MacGyver rocks.
