Computer Future

I've spent today sat in the garden.
I'm brown.
I like the way my skin changes easily.
At this moment in time, I'm waiting for a pizza to come out of the oven.

The last month I've not done much. The good news is I've fulfilled an age old ambition to own a convertible sports car. The bad news is three days later the company went to the wall. Thanks MG. I wasn't counting on driving a classic car, but since the company no longer exists that's what I've got.
When the sun shines, I don't mind. When it rains I want my old car back. I'm not particularly looking forward to winter I have to say, but summer is going to be great.

I've also started a computer course, learning at home. Motivation for such activity is hard to find; I was never great at school apart from messing around.
But this time I have a great motivator to focus on: it cost me £2,500. If that doesn't make me pass nothing will.
When I pass I'll be a Master Web Design and Development... person. The university I'm with will also put me on a placement with a design firm which should be good, unless everyone who works there has a beard and long hair tied in a ponytail. The starting salary for the job I'm aiming for with this qualification will be £22,000. Less than what I earn now as a DJ doing just three nights a week, but the idea is DJing will no longer be my main employment.

I know I've always said I'd quit being a DJ when I hit 30. But now I'm thinking I'd miss it if it were gone. I love my weekend. Even though I have to deal with a lot of idiots who I want to hit in the face with a large bat, I meet a lot of nice people as well.
It's that rare moment when you meet someone who you look forward to seeing that is the best though; someone I wouldn't have ever had the opportunity to get to know if it weren't for me being the DJ on that particular night in that particular place.

I have to do my accounts again. On the floor in a crate I've got all my receipts from last year waiting for me to put into my books. My accountant did the finest job ever last year making sure the tax man paid me. I won't be that lucky again. I've earned too much and not spent enough. I won't know how hard my wallet is going to be hit until about December though, so I've plenty of time to save up, something I'm getting good at recently.

My pizza is ready.
